  • Learning Outcomes of Studying Research Methodology and Publication After completing this course, learners will be able to: 1. Understand Core Research Concepts  Explain the purpose, types, and processes of research, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods. 2. Formulate Research Questions and Hypotheses  Develop clear and focused research questions, objectives, and hypotheses based on identified problems or gaps. 3. Design Research Studies  Select appropriate research designs, sampling methods, and data collection tools to address specific research questions. 4. Conduct a Literature Review  Identify, evaluate, and summarize existing research to inform study design and justify research relevance. 5. Apply Ethical Research Practices  Recognize and follow research ethics, including informed consent, data confidentiality, and plagiarism avoidance. 6. Collect and Analyse Data  Gather data using suitable methods and apply basic analysis techniques (manual or with tools such as Excel, SPSS, or NVivo). 7. Write Research Reports and Papers  Structure academic research papers or reports, including abstracts, introductions, methodology, results, discussions, and references. 8. Requirements

  • 1. Educational Background  A minimum of a diploma or undergraduate-level education (depending on course level).  Ideal for students enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, or professional programs. 2. Basic Academic Writing Skills  Ability to write essays, reports, or academic papers in English. 3. English Language Proficiency  For non-native speakers, a basic to intermediate level of English is required, especially for reading research papers and writing. 4. Interest in Research or Publishing  A desire to learn how to conduct systematic research and communicate findings in academic formats. 5. Access to a Computer and Internet (for online courses)  Needed for accessing learning materials, conducting online research, and using word processing tools. Additional Requirements for Advanced or Graduate-Level Courses For more advanced or postgraduate-level courses, you may also need: • Prior coursework in a relevant subject area (e.g., social sciences, health, education, business, etc.) • A research proposal or topic idea (in some programs) • Experience in data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, NVivo, Excel) – optional but helpful • A CV or academic transcript (if applying to a formal institution)
